Kings Road Apartment Complex

There wasn't much to it, and that's exactly what Moniker wanted. Something subtle, low key, but filled with enough character that his midnight exploits would go unnoticed.

The complex was 2, six story buildings connected by an outdoor foyer that usually stunk of urine and had a collection of phone books piled in one corner. The foyer also acted as a inconspicuous place to trade cash for drugs, or to meet the late night booty call.

One of the buildings was a little nicer then the other, mainly due to a tenant who had OCD for cleaning. The complex was known around town to be the black patch, an unsavory locale that most people planned on steering clear from, day or night. This too, was a main reason Moniker made it his safe place.

The sun had been down for not more then 15 minutes, and Moniker was already up and ready for his nightly routine. The last couple of weeks his attention had been focused on a particular patron in a nearby pub that had caught his eye. He intended on breaking this human being, slowly.

It had been too long since he had seen the last breath of hope escape a mortals eyes, and the thought excited him. This one would be perfect for his devious plot. Young girl, far from home, no friends. Perhaps he would toy with her for a few months before crushing her spirit. Or perhaps there was more to her then he first imagined, and she would prove to hold a grander purpose.

Moniker slipped on his shoes, gave himself a last look in the mirror, scruffing up his deep red hair before heading to the door and into the night.

Looking around, Solace finds himself following the streets towards the east end of town. It's not a deliberate attempt to get stabbed, but he knows that he can't exactly go right back until he knows more. and until then, he needs to find somewhere where he won't be bothered. He remembers his eyes gliding over homeless begging for money back in the day. So to the east end, in hope that theres someplace there that will ignore him until he's got his feet firmly on the ground.

Turning a corner he heads into what seems to be some form of apartment complex. The graffiti on the walls and piles of trash would have unnerved him a long time ago, but now all it meant was that no-one who didn't really want to be there would be there.

He sees the alley between them, the dumpsters nearly filled. Here, he would be absolutely sure he wouldn't be found by any of the bosses agents. Piling the two blankets to have a makeshift sleeping bag, he settled in once more for a stiff morning

Unable to fall asleep, Solace realises that his stomach's protests can't be ignored this night. Vaguely remembering a sign a while back indicating free food, he passed it up because there were too many people there. but if it's still open, it should be quieter...
