The bad first night in London Walkin11
After a very interesting and cold first evening arriving in London, Maralle shook her head as she rose from the  unfinished sidewalk hole that she found on the other side of the Docks. Looking around with her Golden eyes she pulled herself up into the welcoming night air.
" I am starting to think that London doesn't like me." she told herself as she dusted  off her now  ripped and torn, black and white stripped shirt.
Still after reaching  over to the  side of the hole where she placed her bag, she  pulled her favorite mini hoodie from her bag and walked down to the waterside.
There she tried to wash the blood out of her shirt, as the sounds  of her hanging chains rang out in the  harsh  river wind.  When she was done she went looking for a bus stop, as she kicked a rock and shouted up at the moon," My phone and my tablet got wet!!!!, that stupid suit."
Huffing as she putt her hands up behind her head she started to hum as she walked towards the road, for she new it wouldn't be long before she got what she need.  Besides she had another pressing thing on her mind, for it had been days sense she last feed.

Feeding in London is surprisingly easy, if you're well connected. The Kindred society has long since taken control of the important parts of the police, at least the important parts to them. London is the city with the most camera coverage in the world, which makes tracking overt disappearances or break-ins rather easy. Fortunately, kindred have made sure they are able to stop any evidence that would stop any undue suspicion from reaching threatening ears.

The aristocracy, however, only spends its efforts protecting those kindred useful to them, or at least useful to useful people. Unaligned vampires, or newcomers to the city, are without legal protection, and thus London turns from an easy feeding ground to a dangerous one, at least to the careless. There are plenty of people in the streets, plenty of homes to be broken into or public locations to be prowled, and there are plenty of alleys or rooftops to drain victims, but the ever-present cameras and pedestrians are always watching, at least in some fashion.

While waiting on a bus stop, looking around seeing a few cameras,  I continue to hum to hide the small growl leaking from my stomach out of my mouth. As the smell of something yummy coming my way.  Sighing as I give up the wait for the bus at least for a little while. I walk a while, following my nose to that magical musty smell of a homeless person somewhere nearby.  Hating to feed of those out on the streets, but with no other choices at the moment, the need to feed was too much.

Homeless people are never far in London. It is the same as any large city: in the capitalistic race towards the future some unfortunates are always left behind, either by their own actions or by mere circumstances. As such, they are easy to find. London is a city of twisting streets, built upon itself for millennia, and as such there are plenty of alleys and hideaways, little nooks in the great flowing rivers of humanity that make up the city.

In one such nook you spot a particularly decrepit creature: old, tired and scarred both physically and mentally. Wrapped in a blanket more patch than original, swaddled in clothes that are either two sizes too large or two sizes too small. A place is laid out for a companion near him, one that apparently has not returned for a long while. The alley is dark, unlit by the blazing lamps of the thoroughfare it branches from, and smells more of waste than the usual fumes of petrol, humanity and pollution.

Seeing that my prey is not alone, I let a smirk slide into the corners of my lips. Before biting my lower lip to hide my wicked joy that I get two meals for one.  Slowly I walk into the alley and creep over to the first of my prey and sit down beside him on the place for his mate.
" It would be a shame just to kill one and leave the other.... I guess I will have to take both so they won't be lonely." I think to myself before slow slipping and arm around the man on the ground.  Pulling him closer towards  as I lean in nuzzling through the blankets and things to find his pulse beneath it all.

The man does not wake up, obviously taught to sleep deeply by tough nights in the cold and damp. There is a pulse, the soft rumble of flowing blood. It speaks of recent famine but previous success, strength withered but unbowed by hunger and cold.

Your strength will be put to good use." I mumble as I find skin with my lips and teeth. And bite down on the pulsing vein, letting my fangs break the skin. Tasting unwashed flesh and warm refreshing blood. Making me murmur against my prey's skin as I feed deeply.

The man does not struggle much, slight kicks and twitches which are more than easy to handle while you drink deeply.

[how much vitae are you taking?]

( I want it all)
Feeling him slightly fighting to stay on this earth, the whole time I am thinking that the more you fight the more I will drink. Still I run one hand through his unwashed and matted hair to claim my first portion of my meal.
For was this one is dead I will feed from the next so they can sleep in peace forever.

You can feel the warmth of six vitae flow into you, as the man withers and finally slumps, cold and still. Despite your resolve, his death cuts deep: an innocent man, already at the bottom of his luck, killed without hesitation. The detritus of society, whose last possession of value has been sucked into your undead stomach, it reminds you that you are no longer human, and never will be again. A few moments after the poor man's last breath, you hear a trashcan topple over and roll about, a bone-thin brown dog, the man's companion, scampering off in the night.

[Roll for humanity loss, one die]

( so i have a -2 on relating to humans now and I am a calculated killer when it comes to doing what i need to survive. Cool)

Letting out a low sigh, and licking my lips clean of the blood, I decided rather than drain the other human that I will just kill them so they can be together. A wasted of good blood but this man's life has given me enough energy for the moment. Quickly I stand up after laying the lifeless body down on its side, waiting for the other person to return and then go from there.
" I may just leave that one alive, track them and feed on them later. " I think to myself as I let my eyes peer out from the darkness of my hiding place waiting to see the other .

The stillness of the night envelops you as you wait. The sounds of rushing humanity from the streets slowly becomes less and less noisy as more humans find their way home and off the formerly crowded street. The desiccated corpse lies next to you, shriveled and smelling of the inevitable evacuation that follows even the most dignified death.

In the near-silence of the secluded alleyway, you hear the trash bins be disturbed again, and the same starving brown dog returns, cautiously at first. It keeps its eyes firmly fixed on you, though does not dare growl yet. It approaches the corpse of its master slowly, staying as far away from you as possible, and nudges the corpse once. Then twice. Then a third time, barking loudly, hoping for any response. Its efforts ending in failure, it retreats and howls into the night, its plaintive cry near deafening in the confined space. Its cry of loss completed, the dog simply slumps down where it stood, its head looking between you and its old master in turn.

" Sorry little one, but like you I have to feed to survive." I tell the sorrowful dog before rising slowly as to not startle the creature.
" I tell you what, you travel with me for a while and I will find you a good bone to chew on." I say with a small smile on my face as I wait for a response.

The dog gives no response. Though this is likely simply because it is a dog and cannot speak the Queen's English, the silence feels more like a reproach. The animal is resolved to its fate, its master and friend, through thick and thin, dead and shriveled before its very eyes. The beast does not even move, no longer looking at you, as though it understands its powerlessness in the face of your calculated evil.

Slowly moves closer to kneel before the creature," I am sorry you miss him so much, but I would be glad to take you with me or would you like to join your beloved master?"
I say with a small smile in my eyes as I keep my hands flat on the ground before the dog waiting for the look that I would kindly send him off to meet his master if he wishes.
As I start to get bored with this game and can feel the time ticking away and the need to find a ride into town or a place out of the sun for me to rest or hide  until then,  yet I want to tie up all my ends here before I move on.

The dog continues to give no response. It coughs slightly, but remains otherwise motionless. It's eyes never leave its master.

" Oh well, little one the coming day has saved you this time. I must go, come if you wish." I tell the dog before rising and walking over to my bag, now full I go and look for my next necessity, which is either a shelter or a way into the heart of London to explore and to show my self to the leader around these parts.
" Rules are those stupid rules... but they keep me alive." I say out loud to myself as I follow the sounds of moving traffic, hoping to catch a ride to make this exploration move a bit faster.
